Marmorino 2020 is the evolution of one of the most revered decorative plasters in architectural history. Rooted in the centuries-old Venetian tradition of applying lime and marble dust to create surfaces that rival polished stone, this modern formulation preserves every ounce of that heritage while offering dramatically improved workability, consistency, and durability. The result is a plaster that honors the past while meeting the exacting demands of contemporary design.
The beauty of Marmorino 2020 lies in its extraordinary range of finishes. Through the skilled hands of an applicator using a venetian trowel, the same product can yield a high-gloss polished surface reminiscent of natural marble, a refined satin finish with subtle luminosity, or a richly textured matte surface with depth and character. The technique of burnishing — compressing the final layer with the flat of the trowel — produces the legendary mirror-like sheen that has defined Venetian plaster for generations.
Formulated with natural lime and premium marble dust, Marmorino 2020 is inherently anti-mildew, breathable, and ecological. It is available in 169 colors, each developed to showcase the natural translucency and depth that only genuine lime-based plasters can achieve. Washable and extraordinarily durable, it is the material of choice for architects and designers creating spaces of lasting distinction — from grand foyers and statement walls to complete room transformations.

Step 1
The substrate must be clean, solid, and primed with a suitable base coat. Any cracks or surface defects should be repaired and fully cured before application.
Step 2
Apply the first coat of Marmorino 2020 with a stainless steel venetian trowel, spreading evenly in thin, overlapping passes. This coat establishes the base texture and adhesion. Allow to dry for 12-24 hours.
Step 3
Apply the second coat in thin, tight passes with the venetian trowel, building depth and refining the surface texture. For a polished finish, begin light burnishing at this stage. Allow to dry for 12-24 hours.
Step 4
For a high-gloss polished finish, apply a very thin third coat and burnish firmly with the flat of the trowel while the surface is still slightly damp. The friction and compression produce the characteristic marble-like sheen. For satin or matte finishes, this step may be modified or omitted.
Step 5
Allow the plaster to cure for 48-72 hours. The surface will continue to harden and develop its final depth and translucency over the following weeks as the lime carbonates.
